Yesterday Leal Looker, 27, the father, suicided by drinking carbolic acid. The funeral of both will be held Wednesday afternoon... burial being in the cemetery at North Volney. Looker was despondent. He was married several years ago to a girl living in Boylston, Dr. E.J. Cusack, a coroner of the county who was called into the case, said today. About two years ago he took up with another girl and the baby was born, the coroner reported. It has been hinted for some time, Dr. Cusack said, that the Grand Jury now in session at Pulaski, was going to take cognizance of the case and that fact, with the death of the baby from natural causes, caused Looker to become despondent and last night about six o'clock he drank two ounces of the acid and died in great agony.
