John Wolfe was inducted into the service March 19, 1942 at Fort Des Moines, Iowa. His basic training was at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. From here to Fort Laughon, Washington. He left for the Aleutian Islands June 18, 1942 and arrived at Umnack June 27. He left these islands June 19, 1944 for Washington. He arrived back in Washington at Spokane and then to Geiger Field June 27. He was sent overseas again, this time to Okinawa, February 10, 1945 from Seattle, Wash. He stopped over in Honolulu, Hawaii for two weeks for supplies, and arrived in Okinawa April 3, 1945. He was sent back to Seattle, Wash. and discharged from service at Fort Leavenworth, Kans. November 16, 1945.
