Bessie Wolfe, 84, of Guthrie Center, daughter of Sidney and Dora Sheeder Wolfe, was born August 17, 1918 in Baker Township, Guthrie County, Iowa. She passed away Monday, August 4, 2003 at her home in Guthrie Center. She attended rural county school, Baker No. 3, graduating from Guthrie Center High School and Drake University. She was a elementary teacher for 39 years, teaching in rural Guthrie County Schools and in the Bagley and Madrid, Iowa schools. In 1983 she retired and made her home in Guthrie Center. She like to do crafts. Bessie was preceded in death by her parents Sidney and Dora Sheeder Wolfe, 2 brothers; John & William Wolfe, 2 sisters; Bonnie Olesen, Bernice Schwaderer. She leaves to mourn one brother Clarence Wolfe, Sr. of Guthrie Center and one sister Bernie Wolfe of Jefferson, several nieces and nephews. Bessie had many relatives & friends. Bessie liked the garden and the flowers. Bessie shared the fruit trees on the property with the family.
