Clarence S. Wolfe, 79, was born April 25, 1925 to Sid & Dora (Sheeder) Wolfe in Baker Township. He passed away Monday, January 17, 2005 at the New Homestead in Guthrie Center. Clarence grew up on a farm in rural Guthrie Center and he attended Guthrie Center Schools. He was united in marriage to Bessie Madison in 1947. In 1953, he married Mary Wheeler. He worked for Weaver Madison in his oil station, Guthrie County road maintenance and then for Randolph Foods and Seymour Foods for 25 years. He worked for Parker Industry for 15 years as a machine operator. In 1989, Clarence retired and he helped Benny Sheeder mowing hay at the farm. Clarence is survived by his wife Mary, sister; Bernie Wolfe of Jefferson, sons; Jerry (Connie) Wolfe of Iowa City, Jack (Marilyn) Guthrie Center, Ed (Lois) Wolfe of Exira, Elden (Cheryl) Guthrie Center, Junior (Candy) of Guthrie Center, Dave (Claudia) Wolfe of Bayard, nieces; Kathleen Schwaderer of Des Moines, Jean Ann Schwaderer of Guthrie Center, nephew; Jim (Clair) Brittian of Guthrie Center,….grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; John, Bill, sister; Bessie Wolfe, Bernice Wolfe and Bonnie Olson. |
