Overview
John (240) is said to have been "an original settler of Delaware Colony". [2] This John apparently lived in the Appoquinimink Creek Creek area of New Castle. He died about 1686/7, naming only his wife Dorthy as his heir. He is commonly thought to have been the father of Person:John Walker (239)
and wife Wybregh, who lived in this same area, but direct evidence for this is needed.

- ↑ This is unclear. Delaware was not an independant entity until the time of the Revolution. The area was under the administration of Pennsylvania and Maryland, though it had a great deal of autonomy. The original settlers were the Swedes and the Dutch. John could have been of their number, but then would have been a settler of either New Sweden or New Netherlands.
