He may well seem to be the man of Fairfield, buying ld. bef. 1653, perhaps reaching that final resid. aft. a tempora. one at Wethersfield, and the br. of Isaac and Caleb. By w. Grace he had Isaac, Sarah, and John, nam. on ret. of his inv. 19 June 1655, with hope of ano. wh. was the Samuel, prob. nam. by the wid. 4 June 1659, when, giv. deed to her s. Isaac, she requires him to pay her childr. Sarah, John, and Samuel certain sums. This seems to compel us to think, Esther, Elizabeth Hannah, the three elder ch. nam. on giv. the inv. of f. were by a former w. The wid. m. Richard Perry of the same, who was d. in 1658. His s. John serv. in Philip's war, and d. in the first yr. of it unm."
