He was a land owner in Fairfield prior to 1650 (grant recorded 18 Mar. 1649), and prob. was related to the Burrs or m. a dau. of Jehu Burr, Sr. Not only were Burrs guardians of his children, but his son Nathaniel made them his contingent heirs should his own children die. Inv. 10 Sept. 1658, small estate, £106; widow had dower in house at Fairfield before she married him; children, not named. Adm'n granted to Jehu Burr and William Hayden. Jehu and John Burr appointed guardians to children."
