1800 Augusta County, Virginia Tax List:2601, District B, p. 19. 17 March 1800, John Moore, one white male tithable over the age of 16, no slaves, 5 horses, $60 tax. A Peter Moore was visited on the same day and assessed as follows: one white male tithable over the age of 16, no slaves, 2 horses, $24 tax. Other researchers have identified a Peter Johannes Moore or Mohr as the father of John Moore, but this has not been proven. Use with caution; not proven to refer to the John Moore described on this page.

1807 Marriage:1439, p. 45. 3 February 1807 marriage of John Moore Jun. and Polly Patterson performed by Rev. William King. Both Vogt and Kethley731, p. 356. and Bushman2821, p. 14. confirm groom's name was "John (Jr.) Mohr."
