Larbert census 1851 records a John MASTERTON born about 1825 living in Carron; in 1881 he lived as an engineer at Kerse Lane, Falkirk (census), and in 1888 at MacArthur St., Dunoon, Argyllshire. He died 27oct 1888 at Falkirk. John married Catherine Fish DRAPER, daughter of David DRAPER and Isabella MASTERTON. Catherine was born before 12dec1830 at Falkirk. In 1881 she lived at Kerse Lane, Falkirk. Catherine died 4jun1907 at the British Linen Bank Buildings, Vicar St., Falkirk (G. Masterton).
