David MASTERTON (family letters) was christened 17jun1827 in Larbert (vital records). Larbert census 1851 records a David MASTERTON born about 1830 living at Carron. David apparently emigrated to Australia, worked as a forester, lived at Bridgewater House, married and had children (newspaper report on death). David Masterton (b. Stirling) probably married Marion ANDERSON (b. Stirling) 29apr1859 in Congregational Church Parsonage, Sandhurst, Bendigo, Victoria state (Dept of Justice, Victoria). Bridgewater on Lodden and Inglewood are 20 miles NW of Bendigo. David died near Tamagulla, Victoria, Australia, and was buried at Inglewood Cemetery 18jul1870 (newpaper report). David Masterton, farmer, son of Alexander Masterton, blacksmith, and Ellen Honeyman, died 18jul1870, aged 56 (?), at Bridgewater, near Inglewood, Victoria State, Australia, after suffering 6 weeks from pneumonia phthisis (Dept. of Justice, Victoria).
