Alexander DICK was previously married to Elizabeth MITCHELL, Alexander (b. abt 1816) married 2mar1834 at Larbert (Latter Day Saints); Elizabeth gave birth to Robert DICK 30dec1845 in Larbert and presumably died between 1845 and 1850. Larbert census 1851 records the family living at Carron: Alexander born about 1814, Helen 1821, John (19mar)1840, James D. (23feb)1844 and infant 1851. John and James were children of the first wife. In 1871 Helen Dick (1821), children William (1851, flax mercht clerk), Alexander (1853, linen manufct clerk), all b. Larbert, at 35 Constitution Rd., Dundee (census). In 1881 Helen Dick (head, b. 1821 Larbert) and sons, both manufacturer’s clerks, William M. (b. 1851 Larbert) and Alexander M. (b. 1854 Larbert) lived at 143 Victoria Rd., Dundee, Forfarshire (census). In 1901 Helen Dick (1821 Larbert, own means) and a servant were at 2 Bellfield Ave., Liff and Benvie, Angus (census). There are 2 addresses of a Mrs. Dick: Bonally, Cambridge St., Dundee and Craigellen, Newport, Fife (family letters). The son Alexander lived at Newport (census).
