Wilbert Kohler, 41, a native of Kilgore, died September 4 at Hazelton, Pennsylvania, the result of an explosion in a gas plant in that city. He was employed by the Apex Coal Company at Germano for a number of years, but went to Hazelton three years ago. He is survived by his wife, Wilma (Grant) Kohler, and three children, Lyle, Mary and Dorathene; three brothers and four sisters, Mrs. Florence McAfee; Donald and Orton of New Rumley; Mrs. Mack Andrews of Carrollton; Mrs. Verne Kohler of Pontiac, Michigan; Mrs. Cleda Albaugh of Kilgore, and Homer Kohler of Amsterdam. Funeral services were held Monday at Amsterdam, conducted by rev. W. F. Speaker. Interment was in Germano Cemetery.
