Homer H. Kohler, 86, of 8032 Germano Rd., Kilgore died last Thursday in the Carroll County Home Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born April 19, 1897 in Loudon Township, a son of the late David H. and Albertha (Hosterman) Kohler. He was a retired farmer and a U. S. Army veteran of World War I.
Survivors include two sons, Harold Kohler of Carrollton and Glenn Kohler of Kilgore; a daughter, Mrs. James (Evelyn) Walters of Kilgore; a brother, Donald Kohler of Minerva; a sister, Florence McAfee of New Rumley; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Mallernee) Kohler, who died June 6, 1965; two brothers and five sisters. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Allmon-Dugger Funeral Home in Carrollton with Rev. Gene Moyer officiating. Burial was in Harlem Springs Cemetery.
