    Birth is recorded in Carroll County book 1, page 2. Her mother is listed as Eliza, I don't no if Enos was married before, or just a mistake in recording Amanda's name? Her birth was list as June 11, 1867 in the Beers 1891, History of Carroll County.

    Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha (Hosterman) Kohler, 69, who died Friday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cleda Albaugh, of Canton, were held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Albaugh home and at 1:30 at the Kilgore Lutheran Church in charge of Rev. Earl Stainbrook. Burial in Kilgore Cemetery.
    Mrs. Kohler's husband, David Kohler, died five years ago. Survivors besides Mrs. Albaugh; three other daughters, Mrs. Verna Choler of Pontiac, Michigan, Mrs. Ed McAfee of Jewett and Mrs. Mac Andrews of Carrollton; four sons, Homer Kohler of Kilgore, Orton and Donald Kohler of New Rumley and Wilbert of Hazelton, Pa., a sister, Mrs. Maude Kohler of Kilgore; a brother, Floyd Hosterman of Warren and 24 grandchildren.

    Mrs. Bertha Kohler, 69, of Kilgore, died Friday night, May 29, in the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Albaugh, after several weeks illness. Mrs. Kohler was the widow of David H. Kohler, who preceded her in death five years ago. Two daughters, Hattie and Leah, and one brother, Dave Hosterman, also preceded her in death. The deceased was a daughter of Enos and Amanda Hosterman and lived all her life in Kilgore vicinity.
    Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. William Albaugh of Kilgore, Mrs. Ed McAfee of Jewett, Mrs. Mack Andrews of Harlem Springs and Mrs. Vern Choler of Pontiac, Michigan; four sons, Wilbert of Hazelton, Pennsylvania, Homer of Kilgore, Donald and Orton of New Rumley; one sister, Mrs. George Kohler of Kilgore; one brother, Floyd Hosterman of Warren; 24 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Kilgore Lutheran Church, in charge of Rev. Earl Stainbrook. Interment was in Kilgore Cemetery.
