Heizer, John, born 1747 in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; entered service in 1777 near Staunton, Augusta County, Virginia; applied for Pension 1834 in Brown County, Ohio & Pension Application rejected, insufficient proof of service; died shortly thereafter, leaving widow mentioned but not named. F-R4848, R1248.

Samuel (mark) McCorkles will, planter--To wife, Sarah (executrix with Patrick Buchanan); to son, John; to daughter, Mary; to daughter, Martha Callesone; to son, Samuel; to son, Robert; to daughter, Sarah Chapman, and her first son; to daughter, Elizabeth McCorkle; to grandsons, Samuel and Wm. McCorkle. Teste: John Wallace, Mary Buchanan, Jno. Heizer. 16th December, 1788, proved by Wallace and Hizer. Executors qualify.
  • Vol. 2 - Marriage Bond: 1788--July 2, Jacob Sheets and John Heizer, surety. Jacob Sheets and Elizabeth Butt. Own consent. Teste: John Lanahan, Thos. Leanch.
