BIRTH: Possibly 1792.

MARRIAGE: Sealing date for marriage has a year of 19__ but the last two digits are unreadable.

DEATH: John DAVIES' death record entry lists his age as 78 years at time of death 22 May 1870 in Gorsynon (Gorseinon), Llangafelach, Glamorganshire, Wales.

  The birth location is written as Gorsynon, Gorsenon and Corseinon on different records; Gorseinon is the correct spelling.
  He died of "decay of nature" or in other words "old age."  Jane Knoyle was present at his death.  Xerox copy of death certificate in my possession (Enclosure #91 and #68). The entry was made in the registration district of Swansea, with Richard Jenkins as the Registrar.

BIOGRAPHY: John Davies' dad IS David Rees (at least on all our records).

John Davies was listed as a "garden labourer" on his wife's death certificate, but as a "farm laborer" on his own death certificate.
