BIRTH: John Jenkins of Newton, Utah recorded her birth place as Llangyfelach, Wales.

!MARRIAGE: Xerox copy of marriage entry in my possession (Enclosure #87). It records that Evan Walters (labourer) of Tyrford married Ruth Davies of Corseinon. (Ruth Davies was the second wife of Evan Walters) They were married in the presence of David Beddow and David Bevan. Evan's father was William Walters (farmer; Ruth's father was John Davies (labourer).

Ruth and her mother, Sarah, were together in the same household when the 1871 census was taken.
