Acquisition of Land from Chalkley's:

• Page 424.--15th August, 1761. Moses Bird and Clair, of Frederick County, to John Blizard, £140, on Smith's Creek; cor. Andrew Bird's land, John Phillip's line, 400 acres except 50 acres surveyed for Jacob Rambo. bounded, viz : cor. Jno. Phillips. Teste: Archible Ruddle (Ruddell), Thomas Beggs, Abraham Bird. Delivered: John Blizard, 25th March, 1762.

• Page 184.--3d May, 1769. Nicholas Sybert (Seybert), eldest son and heir-at-law of Jacob Sybert, deceased, of Frederick County, Maryland, to John Blizard, £200, 210 acres on southermost branch of South Branch of Potowmack, part of 2,643 acres patented to Robert Green, 12th January, 1746, and by him conveyed to John Patton, Jr., 5th November, 1747, and by him conveyed to said Jacob Seybert, 21st May, 1755; corner Rodger Dyer. John Blizard ( ) and Ruth to Frederick Zircle of Frederick County, £350, on Smith's Creek; corner Andrew Bird; line of John Phillips, 400 acres (except 50 acres surveyed off for Jacob Rambo, the plat whereof followeth John Phillips' land, which is conveyed by Andrew Bird to Jacob) as also said Blizard doth, except a parcel bounded, viz: Patent line and Bird's line; 30 acres conveyed to Andrew Hulings above. • Page 529.--16th May, 1768. Andrew Bird and Mary ( ) to Andrew Hulings, £35, between Smith's Creek and the mountain; corner John Phillips and Swain Rambo, 186 acres. Teste: John ( ) Blizard, Jno. Philips. Delivered: Andrew Huling, May, 1773.

• Vol. 1 - AUGUST, 1768 (A). - Gore vs. Phillips.--Articles of agreement, and concluded this the 22d day of January, 1766, between Joseph Goare, of Frederick County, of the one part, and the subscribers of the other part. Witness that the said Goare, schoolmaster, for my part, doth covenant and agree to and with the said gent., subscribers, to teach their said children, if committed to my care, according to their capacities in reading, writing and arithmetic and all other Christian principles in my power, and if the said master should lose any of the said term of time within the term of twelve months, commencing, it shall be made up at the end of the year. In consideration, we, the said subscribers. do hereby covenant and agree to and with the said master to give him the sum of £1, 3, 0, per scholar, where we are bound each to either in the penalty of £50, as witness our hands the day and year above mentioned.
