Jeanne, Jeane

According to a note from the Hill Collection, Jeanne was baptise d 21 April 1717, reference is the records of the New York Frenc h Church, p.142

Mentioned in the wills of her brothers John and Peter. Peter le ft her Ð500 to disperse to his brothers and their children at he r own death, as she saw fit. It would be handy to track down th is will. Probably widowed or never married since John left her his hous e to live in.

Following John's will, one of his sisters (Elizabeth or Jane) mu st have married someone named Jay, as John refers to a nephew Ja mes Jay (unless perhaps James is the son of the sibling of som e unknown wife).
