    James Peery Jr. was born in 1735 at Somerset County, Maryland. . . . He lived at North Milford Hundred, Cecil County, Maryland . . . [and] at St. George's Hundred, New Castle County, Delaware. He married Jane Davis, daughter of (?) Davis and Sarah (?), circa 1760. He was a veteran having served in the Delaware militia during the Revolutionary War in the New Castle County, Capt. John Clark's (afterward Israel's) Company in 1780. He died on 17 January 1800 at St. George's Hundred, New Castle County, Delaware, at age 65 years.
