Service
- Private James Dale enlisted on 1 Jul 1862 in Bath County, Kentucky. [2]: James first served in the Company D Coleman Company, and R. G. Stoners Batallion. This battalion was merged into the 9th Cavalry Regiment [also called 4th Mounted Rifles] that was organized in December, 1862, by consolidating Breckinridge's and Stoner's Kentucky Cavalry Battalions [3]:He also served with the : 9th Regiment, Kentucky Cavalry accessed on 10 March 2022 under Colonel WLP Breckennage was and Lutenant Colonel Rly Stoner.
