Template:Appalachia Sticker Nancy was born on 20 December 1822 in Montgomery County, Kentucky. ^[2][3][4][5] Her parents were Robert Dale (abt.1793-1844) and Mary Susan (Johnson) Dale (abt.1803-). ^[2] She married Peter Hovermale (abt.1821-1847) in October 1845 in Montgomery, Kentucky, United States.

They had one daughter:

• Mary Francis (Hovermill) Leggett (1846-) ^[6]

In 1850 She was living with her mother in District 1, Montgomery, Kentucky, USA. ^[2] On 7 Oct 1858 She married William Dillard Duncan (1816-1899) in Montgomery County, Kentucky. ^[3]

The children of this Union were:

• Elizabeth Duncan (1859-) ^[7]* Sarah B Duncan (1863-) ^[4][5]

On 10 Dec 1859 Nancy had a daughter, She named her Elizabeth Duncan. ^[7] On 19 May 1867 her daughter Mary Francis Hovermill married David Thomas Leggett. In 1870 She lived in Aarons Run, Montgomery County, Kentucky, USA with her husband and 2 daughters. ^[4] In 1880 She was living with Dillard in Aarons Run, Montgomery County, Kentucky, USA. They have 2 daughters and 2 grand-children living with them. ^[5] She passed away on 21 August 1902 in Montgomery County, Kentucky, United States. She was laid to rest in the Wilson Graveyard in Montgomery County, Kentucky. ^[1]
