The children are Saml. B. 12; John W. 10; Frank 8; Moses 6; Elwood 4; and Loar 1 male --- all born 'Ia' [Indiana]. S. 12 male, Oria L. 9 (female); Laura B. 6, Mary B. 6, and Lucy M. 3. {p. 3 / 726 roll 787 HeritageQuest} Jacob's parents and sister are also in Monticello.
 In the 1880 census for Steuben, Warren Co., Indiana, Jacob Byers is a farmer, age 54 from Maryland (parents Maryland).  His wife Margarette is 53 from Ohio (father Virginia, mother Ohio). The children are Samuel B., 32, farmer; John W. 29, farmer; Mose 26, farmer, divorced; Belle 14; Minnie 12 -- all born in Indiana.  Also in the household are Emma J. King, age 26, single, from Indiana (father Virginia, mother Ohio) and Arlow Tyler, farmer, 22, single, from Indiana (father New York, mother Virginia). {p.52a}

Elwood Byers is 44 with wife Luella and children.
