Despite being the youngest of the brothers, Isaac was named as the farmer in the agricultural section of the 1851 Census. He held 300 acres in Concession 1, Lot 16 (only 100 under cultivation). The acreage under various crops and the yield in bushels is given. C-11731; District 19, Subdistrict 173, p90, line 47). The family were still on this holding in the 1881 census.
