Henry B. FENIMORE was born on 23 Feb 1807 in Union Township, Ross, Ohio. He was buried in Ross Co, Ohio. Burial is in the Greenlawn #2 cemetery in Ross Co., Ohio. He served in the military Mid 1860's in Ohio. Henry died in June of 1864 most likely from injuries suffered during battle in the Civil War. Henry received land from his father Ebenezer when he died in 1854. Henry lived next door to his father at the time. The land is described as follows in Ebenezers will dated 12 April 1841: " beginning at a const(?) near hills running Northerly through three fields to a walnut tree at the south of the ridge field nigh the turn way thence westward to the corner of the wood thence northerly with the fence dividing the woodland from the Chand land with the fence of Butler and with Butler and Bateman to the road and with the road to the beginning, all within them lines I leave to my son Henry". The 1850 Federal Census for taken on 5 Sept shows Henry as a farmer with seven children living next to him. Henry lived next door to his father. His brother Ebenezer lived on the other side of his father. The 1860 Census for Ross County, Ohio in the Union Township taken on 11th July 1860 does not list Henry. Only Henry's wife Nancy and children are listed. Parents: Ebenezer Ross FENIMORE Sr and Mary REA (?). He was married to Nancy LITTLETON on 12 Mar 1837 in Pickaway County, Ohio.
