Henrietta "Henney" Lamar, daughter of William Bishop and Elizabeth (Smith) Lamar, married Elias, Eli Thrasher. Henney and Eli came to Breckenridge County, KY from Frederic County, Maryland in 1815. They came with Henrietta's brother Mareen Tyler and Benoni Smith and sisters Susannah and Rachel. They lived for a time near Lewisport, Kentucky. Later, Henrietta and Elias moved to Ohio County, Kentucky and lived there for several years. Eventually they retrned to Breckenridge County (now Hancock County) near Lewisport and remained there the rest of their lives. Elias Thrasher was a farmer. He bought 250 acres of land in Breckenridge County, near Lewisport, from John Lewis and paid him $1250. Henney died May 8, 1821 and Elias died on Feb. 1, 1856. They were buried in the Thrasher Family Cemetery near Lewisport. References
