No civil birth certificate found; this was at the end of the French occupation of the region and the practice likely stopped for many years.

She married 3 November 1842 in Feilbingert Joseph SCHMITT (son of Friedrich Schmitt and Catharina Barbara Hipp of Dirmstein, Rheinpfalz). The two of them emigrated with her mother and some sisters on the ship "Fanny" arriving June 1845 via Rotterdam. While in Buffalo by 1850 and through 1860, Henrietta and Joseph were in Sherman, Chataqua Co., NY, farming by 1870. They had at least six children, 3 girls, 3 boys.

In the 1890 Buffalo City Directory, a Henriette Schmidt is living at 184 Lemon with Henry C. Schmidt; did she possibly move back to Buffalo (from Sherman) after the death of her husband?
