Hannah Harrison was baptised on 1st June 1707 at Granby in Nottinghamshire, daughter of Sarah Harrison, formerly Wood, and her husband George Harrison, a cordwainer.

Hannah's mother died in 1728.

Hannah was married in 1731, aged about 24, to Robert Hopewell, an iron smith. He was about fifteen years her senior.

Hannah and Robert went on to have three children baptised at Granby between 1735 and 1742. There was also a girl baptised there in 1733 whose parents' names are not given who may well also be theirs.

Hannah's father died in 1744. Under his will Hannah was left just one shilling, whilst her children were left eight pounds to be split between them. Presumably Hannah's father felt that he had already adequately provided for Hannah in his lifetime.

Robert died at the age of 67, being buried at Granby on 29th November 1759. Hannah survived him by nearly 29 years. She died at the age of 81, being buried at Granby on 8th October 1788.
