SOURCE: Received from Luis Beal (luisbeal@yahoo.com) on 1 Dec 2000 - I was searching for a Hannah Beal who is listed as my husbands great grandfathers wife (William Marshall Beal) but who is not the mother of his children and I came across a Hanna Beal who died in Michigan on the very same cemetery as the William. Here is what I found out: Hanna Beal died 9/13/1923, born 7/22/1849, buried in the Brookside cemetery, city of Scottville, Mason County, Michigan. I called the city of Scottville and they gave me more information: she was married when she died, died of cerebral hemorrhage, was born in Ohio, daughter of John Beck from Ohio and Mary (she couldn't read the last name) from Virginia. I wrote to Scottville and requested a copy of the death record. Hopefully I will get it in the next couple of weeks and hopefully I will be able to link her to William. I have also requested a search of the obituary of her death if there is one. I will be glad to scan copies of the documents and e-mail them to you when I get them, if you decide this is also your Hanna. Luis DEATH: Death certificate loacted by Luis Beal. From the State of Michigan dated 7 Mar 1924. Gives parents as John Beck of Ohio and Mary Nail of VA. Cause of death was a cerebral hemorrhage. Age at death was 74-1-22. OBITUARY: Obituary dated 15 Sep 1923 in the Ludington Daily News gives deah, burial and family members. DEATH: From the Mason Co., MI Death Register found at the County Courthouse- Hannah Beals
