George Woolvin was born in 1859 at North Mundham in Sussex, son of Emily Woolvin, formerly Grant, and her husband Edmund Woolvin, an agricultural labourer. George appears in the 1861, 1871 and 1881 census living with his parents and siblings at Brinfast in North Mundham. In both 1871 and 1881 he was working as an agricultural labourer. He has yet to be researched after 1881.
