George Herman Graves, of 220 Harden St. died at his home this morning at 4 o'clock after six months of illness. A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Martin Everett and Millie ISLEY Graves. He was a member of Rock Creek United Methodist Church, and was a retired employee of Kayser-Roth Corp. Survivors include his wife, Mrs.. Mabel Sharpe Graves of the home; one daughter, Mrs.. Robert E. Gentry of Burlington; one son, Roger Graves of Luray, Va.; three grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs.. Wayne Rich, Mrs. Elbert Scott and Mrs. Ed Combs, all of Burlington, and Mrs. Zack Tingen of Snow Camp; and four brothers, Lester Graves of Rt. 1, Graham, Algie Graves of Burlington, Howard Graves of Snow Camp, and Virgil Graves of Richwood, W. Va. Final rites will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Mt Hermon United Methodist Church. The Rev. Auburn Lore, pastor, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Lee Moser, pastor of Davis Street United Methodist Church. Burial will follow hi Alamance Memorial Park, Burlington, Alamance County, North Carolina. The body will remain at Rich and Thompson Mortuary until taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes before the service. Visitation will begin at noon Saturday. The family will be at the funeral home Saturday night from 7 to 9 o'clock. References
