Mrs. Dovie Graves Scott BURLINGTON — Mrs. Dovie Graves Scott, 95, of Liberty Commons, formerly of 5582 Mt. Hermon-Rock Creek Road, died at 10 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2002, at Liberty Commons after 14 months of declining health and three days critical.

A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Elbert Scott, and the daughter of the late Everett Graves and Millie Isley Graves. She was retired from Kayser-Roth and was a member of Rock Creek United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Daisy Smith of Burlington. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mrs. Ava Rich, Mrs. Lucille Tingen, and Mrs. Mattie Combs; and five brothers, Mr. Lester Graves, Mr. Herman Graves, Mr. Algie Graves, Mr. Howard Graves, and Mr. Virgil Graves.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington by the Rev. George W. Johnson, and the Rev. David McHale. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park, Burlington, Alamance County, North Carolina.

The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening.
