BURLINGTON — Mrs. Linda Graves Gentry, 68, of 220 Harden Street, Burlington, died at her residence on Thursday, December 20, 2007, after a short battle with lung cancer.

A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of George Herman Graves and Mabel Sharpe Graves, both deceased. She was the owner and operator of Piedmont Promotions and later retired as an independent satellite system contractor.

Survivors include a daughter, Janet Lane Gentry of the home; a grandson, Thaddeus Dahne Gentry of the home; a brother, Roger Graves and wife, Brenda, of Greensboro; two nieces; one nephew; and a special friend, Gena Bartimac of Raleigh.

The funeral will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Saturday, December 22, 2007 at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington on Saturday from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m.
