Friedrich was the co-owner with his eldest brother, Carl Samuel Gotlieb Kramm, of the "Kramm Brothers", a grocery, wine, and farming supply store located in Filehne, Germany (now inside Poland's boarders). This was the first business in that community. As of 1932, the firm was still active under the name of Roestel.
