CONFLICT BIRTH: 5 May 1843 / 14 May 1843

Moved with his Parents family from OHIO to IOWA in 1863. At the age of 20, Freeman joined the Union Army in the Civil War. He served until 1865. While in Arkansas, he married Anna Narcissus GRENGEEN on July 28, 1864. She was born in Little Rock, AK on April 9, 1844. They made their home in Iowa until 1878 where their first seven (7) children were born. They moved to Cuming County, Nebraska near West Point, where their last daughter was born in 1880. Anna and Freeman had eight children: Oliver, Celestia, Jenettie, Addie, DeEtt, Huldie, Ereatha and Cora. Anna contacted tuberculosis and passed away on Feb 5, 1882, leaving her young family, the oldest being 15 and the youngest 14 months. Freeman passed away at the National Sanitarium at Hot Springs, South Dakota on Dec 21 1923. They are both buried in the Dewitt Cemetery at Beemer, NE. About 1885, Freeman and his children moved to the Stuart, NE area (NE 1/4, S12, T30, R17).

In 1887 F.D. married Sarah Hewitt PRICE. They were divorced Oct 12, 1894.

On Nov 14, 1894, F.D. married Mary E Davis Carlisle and the following January, F.D.'s daughter, Ereatha, married Mary's son, Hal Davis. In 1895 they moved to the Duff area.

In 1919 Ffeeman David and Mary moved to Long Pine where they lived the rest of their lives.
