50th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY -- THE GEES Forgus and Marie Gee, 1978 Michale, Holt are celebrating their 50th. wedding anniversary today with an open house from 3 to 6 p.m. at Plumbers Hall. The couple married Nov. 10, 1929, has two children and five grandchildren.

THE STATE JOURNAL, Lansing, MI. --- 1991 ------- Obituary; Gee, Forgus L. (Pg. 2-B) Sept. 9,- Gee, Forgus L. age 83, died September 7, 1991 Born March 1, 1908 in Geneva, IN. Mr. Gee is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marie: 2 sons Jack (Genevieve) Gee and Larry (Patricia) Gee; 5 grandchildren, John Gee, Annie Marie (Glenn) Miller, Derek Gee, Bryan Gee and Jeffrey Gee; and 2 great-grandchildren, Phillip and Kyle Miller. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11:30 a.m. at the Gorsline-Runciman Lansing Chapel with Rev. Thomas G. Bayes, Jr. of Judson Memorial Baptist Church officiating. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the Chapel begining Monday, 7 p.m., where the family will receive friends from 7 - 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association in memory of Mr. Gee.

Gee Engaged to be Wed ---- Mr. & Mrs. Hamilton Foely of 321 Cavanaugh rd. announce the engagement of their daughter Patricia Marie to Larry F. Gee son of Mr. & Mrs. Forgus L. Gee of Holt. The bride-elect is a graduate of Michigan State University and the prospective bridegroom received both his bachelor of science degree and master's degree there.


WEDDING GEE / FOLEY ------------- Veil was held by cabbage eged with pearls and she carried a single red rose. Mrs. Robert Datoe, sister of the bridegroom, was matron of honor -------- Foley / Gee Nuptouals --- Soon to make their home in Poughkeepsie, N. Y., are Miss Patricia Marie Foley and Larry F. Gee who were married Saturday in a candlelight ceremony in pilgrim Congregational Church. The newlyweds will settle in Pouhkeepsie following a honeymoon trip to Niagra Falls N.Y., and several eastern states. Both the Bride and bridegroom, were graduated from Michigan State University, and the bride;s parents are Mr. & Mrs. Hamilton Foley of 321 Cavanaugh rd. Mr. and Mrs. Forgus L. Gee of Holt are the parents of the bridegroom. Patricia's gown of silk organza was styled with a scoop neckline and chapel length skirt appliqued with motifs of re-embroidered Alencon lace. Her bouffand veiling fell from a swedish pearl crown, and her bouquet was designed with white roses and stephanotis. Turquois silk chiffon dress with matching cummerbunds of satin were worn by the brides attendants woh carried white carnations and pink rosebuds in crescent design. Miss Sara Surber was maid of honor and Mrs. Roger Hersey and Mrs. Richard Steadman were bridesmaids. Jack L. Gee of Holt was his brother's bestman, and groomsmen were George H. Foley, brother of the bride And Raymond Perry of Saginaw, the bridegroom's cousin. A reception in the church parlors followed the ceremony.



Mr. & Mrs. JACK L. GEE ON HONEYMOON TO SOUTHWEST -------------------- Arizonia, Texas, New Mexio and New Orleans, La. are on the honeymoon itinerary of the newlyweds, Mr. & Mrs. Jack LeRoy Gee. who exchanged wedding vows Saturday in the Colonial Village Baptist church. The bride is the former Miss Genevive Jane Landseidel, daughter of Mr. & Mrs Henry Landsidel,, 201 Denver st. The bridegroon is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Forguss L. Gee of 123 Denver st. Genevieve's gown was fashioned from chantilly lace and nylon tulle over skinners satin featuring a sheer yoke appliquws with a leaf pattern. She carried wite roses and Englissh Ivy. Miss Delores Landsidel acted as her sister's maid of honor. Her ballerina-length gown was red taffeta and she carried a heart shaped arrangement of peppermint carnations. Larry Gee acted as his brother's bridegroon. Ushers were Forgus Parks, Raymond Perry, cousins of the bridegroom, and Coy K. Morton. Following the Reception Genevieve changed to a blue velveteen suit for her honeymoon. The new Mr. and Mrs. Gee will make their home in Holt.
