    Mrs. Winifred Snyder
    Mrs. Winifred Fowles Snyder, widow of Judge Daniel J. Snyder, of 29 Division Ave., Greensburg died Saturday morning at Oak Hill Rest Home. Born Feb. 11, 1880, in Clarion County, she was the daughter of Reuben Morgan and Orpha Whitehill Fowles.
    Mrs. Snyder is survived by a son, Attorney Daniel J. Snyder of Greensburg; a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor S. Rector of Grosse Point Woods, Mich.; five grandchildren, and two sisters, Gertrude and Margaretta Fowles.
    She was a graduate of Clarion State College, worked as a secretary to several of its presidents and later became secretary to the president of Indiana State University [in Indiana, PA].
    She served as vice president of the Women's Missionary Society of the Reformed Church of the United States and as a member of its Board of National and International Missions. She was also a member of the Commission on Merger of the Reformed Church and the Evangelical Synod of North America (Women's Division) and a member of the executive board of the Women's Guild. Mrs. Snyder was twice a delegate to the United Church Women's Council of Churches of the United States.
    Active in many local organizations, she was a past Regent of the Phoebe Bayard Chapter of the DAR and a past president of the Delphian Club. She was an early member of the Greensburg Shakespeare Club and a delegate to the organizational meeting of the Pennsylvania Council of Republican Women.
    Friends are being received at the Coshey Funeral Home, 319 West Pittsburgh St., Greensburg.
    Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 2:30 p. m. and will be in charge of Rev. Charles S. Hartman. Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be presented according to choice. Coshey Funeral Home, Greensburg, in charge.
