ERNESTINE CAROLINE MANTHEI emigrated to the United States with her parents at age 12. After her marriage, she and EMIL SEEFELD lived in Tomahawk and vicinity until EMIL SEEFELD died in 1946. In 1950 she sold the SEEFELD farm on the Somo River and moved to the farm near Alma Center owned by her nephew Harry Manthei where she kept house for him until she was hospitalized in 1964. Late in 1964 she moved to her son LYLE SEEFELD's house in Seattle, Washington, where she died in 1965.
