Facts and Events
[Brøderbund WFT Vol. 2, Ed. 1, Tree #6075, Date of Import: May 3, 2006] After their marriage, EMIL and ERNESTINE SEEFELD moved to Tomahawk, Wisconsin, where he worked in the lumber mills. He had one of the better jobs in the mill, that of lumber grader. He worked ten hours a day, six days a week, and was paid all of $1.75 per day! For a few years he built motorboats in his "spare time." Later he spent his summers working a forty-acre "no-horse" farm by the Somo River west of Tomahawk, and moving back to town for the winters. He built two river-front cottages which were rented to summer vacationers. References
