Facts and Events
Ephraim Cousins was baptised on 21st October 1838 at Hunston in Sussex, son of Lucy Cousins, formerly Grant, and her husband Ephraim Cousins, an agricultural labourer. He appears in the 1841 census living with his parents and siblings at Church Lane in Hunston.
In 1842, when Ephraim was just four years old, his father died. Just over three years later his mother Lucy married again, with her second husband being an agricultural labourer called George Harris, who thus became Ephraim's stepfather.
Sadly, Ephraim died as a boy of ten years old, being buried at Hunston on 18th September 1849.
