Mrs. W. Edgar Messimer
Elizabeth Josephine Gunn was born in Vermontville, Mich., Nov. 8, 1867, and departed this life April 17, 1937, at the age of 69 years, 5 months and 9 days.
She was united in marriage to William Edgar Messimer in 1889. To this union was born four children. Ray Edgar, Robert, Howard Berveire, and Leona May.
Besides her husband and four children she leaves to mourn her loss 8 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two brothers, William Gunn of Charlotte and Clayton Gunn of Bellevue, three sisters, Mrs. Etta Hickman and Mrs. Adda Simons of Charlotte, and Mrs. Emma Bussell of Battle Creek and many other relatives and friends.
Those who attended the funeral of Mrs. Ed. Messimer from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Roy Messimer and family, Mrs. Betty King, Mrs. Harry Holbert and Mr. Palmer of Brooklyn; Mrs. Jennie Rice, Mrs. Mable Keller and son and Mrs. Case Walker of Shelby, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Hickman and daughter of South Bend, Ind.; Mrs. Frank Hecker and daughter Fannie, Mr. and Mrs. Will Hecker and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wetherbee of Nashville; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bussell, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Martin and Mrs. Emma Bussell of Battle Creek; Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Gunn and family, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Gunn and family of Bellevue; Mrs Hazel Roberts and family and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Root of Lansing.
