Facts and Events
Eddie rose to great heights in politics, becoming the first Democrat Supervisor of the Town of Ramapo (which included Spring Valley) in generations in 1954, and was elected Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of Rockland County in 1961. He died tragically of cancer after briefly being Postmaster of Spring Valley. As a child, William "Keith" Brundage enticed him to run away to Wyoming, which he did. He stayed until he got homesick, then came home to be a secretary for the Hudson and Manhattan Railway. Ed was the last Wallace. |
