The father and mother of John, Arthur and Margaret Campbell were David Campbell, youngest son of the immigrant, and Mary Hamilton, his wife. The brought the remainder of their large family: sons James, David, Robert and Patrick, and daughters Mary (wife of William Lockhart), Martha, Sarah and Ann.
