  • Page 340.--9th January, 1811. David Byers' will--To son, John; wife, Rosannah; daughter, Mary Coiner; to daughter, Betsey Daugherty. Executors wife and son John. Teste: Wm. Sproul, David and Hugh Fulton. Proved, 24th March, 1814. Executor qualified. 14th March, 1805 (s/b 1815?).

Francis Hull's will--To sons, Henry and Daniel; to daughters, Elizabeth Fulwider, Molly Hanger, Barbara Cook; son, Frederick; daughter, Catherine Wiseman; son, John; daughter, Susanna; windmill to son John. Executors, Daniel Hull, James Harris. Teste: John and Hugh Daugherty (affirmed); David Byers (sworn). Proved, 28th March, 1808, by Jno. Daugherty, and 26th April, 1808, by others. Executors refuse. Administration granted Jno. Hull.

David and Rosanna Byers of Augusta County. Gwathney Historical Register of Virginia in Rev. War Page 118. David Byers in Capt. Rankins Company, Augusta County Militia. The area in which he served was north of Old Stone Church (Augusta Stone) to the Naked Creek area near the North River.

20 Aug 1780 Rockingham County, Virginia Minute Book 1778-1792 Part 1 by Constance A. & Louise C. Levinson. David Byers & Rosanna, his wife, acknowledge Deed of lease and release to Frederick Myer. A year later they were buying land north of Waynesboro near the South River.

David and Rosanna had children, John - married Mary; Mary - wed Jacob Coiner; and Elizabeth wed John Daugherty.

David Byers made Will 9 Jan 1811 - Book 11 Page 340 Augusta County and Proved 28 Mar 1814. Executors, son John and wife, Rosanna. Witnesses William Sprowl, David Fulton and Hugh Fulton
