Davis, Daniel - born 2/11/1759 in Chester County, Pennsylvania; entered service 1777 in Greenbrier County, as substitute for [his brother] William Davis; moved to Augusta County, Virginia, thence to Kanawha County, Virginia, thence to Cabell County, Virginia where granted Pension in 1833; query letter in file in 1909 from great great grand-daughter Margaret D.R. Mead, Omer, Michigan. F-S8287, R751.
