See Dan. W. Braught Labette Co. KS estate records 30 Jan 1952 by daughter, Vera Row. He died at Tulsa, OK, a resident of Labette Co., KS. unmarried (actually widowed), but his stone is clearly at Oswego Cemetery. His will was obtained from Tina Rice (Parsons, KS researcher). Moved to Tulsa, OK after 1908 death of wife Frances and before his death 13 Feb. 1917, but was buried at Oswego, KS. by his wife Frances . The Oswego City Cemetery is located just North of town on Hwy 59. On same grave plot is stone of Vera H. Row 1887-1966. 1880 census shows Daniel living with his father at White Oak Twsp., Warren, IA. See Oswego cemetery stone photos taken 18 July 1997. Also see Oswego, KS Cemetery Tombstone Inscriptions booklet at Oswego Historical Society (located on the main street). Same booklet shows: Dora Braught b. 1887 d.--- ; Frances E. Braught, b. 1861 d. 1908; Grant G. Braught b. 1879 d. 1955; and Guy Braught b. 1879 d. 1944. Of course, Dora Braught was actually Dora Stice when buried, but they had her as a Braught in this source (may deserved added research for possible annulment, etc.). The historian there mentioned that a man named Larry Smith had interest in Braught history and owned Merritt Braught land there in Oswego. I did not pursue this at the time. Found during 17 Jul 1997 visit to Oswego, KS Museum among listing of graves in Oswego Cemetery were: many Campbell family, 2 Canny (Ed, father and Minne Lee, mother), some Braughts (Daniel W., Dora, Eva L., Frances E., Grant G., Guy, and Ollie C. -- most with birth and death years). Warren Co., IA Marriage Book 1880-1899 pg. 14: Braucht, D.W. (26) to Risdon, Frances E. (23) 3 NOv. 1884.
