Eliz.Sayre and parents reportedly arrived in Warren Co. during 1856. See material from Daniel and Elizabeth family Bible provided by Ruby Driskell. See R.Driskell letter advising that Eliz.Sayre Braucht lived in her home after Daniel died (aft. 1900 and gave to Ruby her family Bible plus much data of the family). One set of (fuzzy 1986) Driskell notes show Eliz. died 23 Dec 1899 at Warren Co., buried at Hewitt Cemetery, and Hewitt Cem. records show her name on same stone as Daniel. However, Ruby Driskell suggested that she was buried at Mitchell, SD ( Mrs. Driskell was age 88 when written); mentioned that most of the 12 children moved to Mitchell or White Lake, SD. The more accurate Driskell notes created earlier show that after Daniel's death, Elizabeth lived with her daughter Esta at Mitchell, SD until her death there Feb. 15, 1915, but those notes clearly state that she was buried beside her husband at Hewitt Cemetery in Warren Co., IA. This later report seems most logical.

1860 Warren Co. White Oak Twp., pg 835, line 11 Census report that I found lists Daniel, 37 b. PA; Elizabeth, 27, b. VA: Rebecca J. , 9 b. Miss; Alice T. ,7 b. IA; Daniel W., 1 b. IA; Jessie F., 9/12, b. IA ; Rebecca Braught, 66; and John McAllister, 14;

See Warren Co,IA Marriage Book 1849-79. The 1880 census refers to her as Elizabeth and lists her as a teacher, age 47 born in West VA. Note that in 1870 Warren Co., IA Squaw Twp Census is listed Sayre, Hannah, age 30 born VA. (this was a very poor copy and even the house and family numbers were not readable).
