Glasgow PO Directory 1841 Colin Dunlop Donald, writer and commissary clerk, 37 Virginia St., house 30 St. Enoch Sq. and C. D. Donald, jun. writer, 37 Virginia St. (glasgowstory). Colin, writer, born abt 1816, is on the 1841 census at St. Enochs Sq., Glasgow. Colin was a writer with the firm M’Grigor, Donald and Co, 172 St. Vincent St., and lived at 14 Huntly Gardens in 1890 (P.O. directory). Colin D. Donald, widow, writer, b. 1816 at Glasgow, daughter Matilda M. Donald, b. 1857 at Glasgow, son and law student Archd. H. Donald, b. 1859 at Glasgow, daughter Helena M. Donald, b. 1860 at Glasgow, and 5 servants lived at 200 Bath St., barony parish, in 1881 (census). Presumably Helen Bogle Hamilton died before 1881.
