Claiborne Dugger was born ca 1780/90 in Brunswick Co, VA or possibly in Orange Co, NC. I don't know what proof there is of Claiborne being a son of Alexander and Ann, but he fits on several pieces of circumstantial evidence.

On 27 Jan 1801 Claiborne Duggar obtained a marriage bond in Greene Co., TN to marry Jean Gass. Dan Kennedy was bondsman. There seems to be a second marriage bond with the same date, this time with George Couch and John Weems as bondsmen.

Claiborne was listed on the 1805 Greene Co., TN Tax list.

The 1810 and 1820 census are lost for Greene Co., TN.

Claburn Duger was listed on the 1812 Greene County tax list.

On 28 Nov 1827 Claborn Dugger and Decands Dugger were bondsmen for the Greene County marriage bond of Joseph Dugger (thought to be Claiborne's son) and Polly Bryan. I don't know who Decands Dugger was.

I wasn't able to find Claiborne Dugger on the 1830, 1840 or 1850 census. He may have died in the 1820's, though it would have to be after 28 Nov 1827.
