living in Indiana area between 1928 and 1932. Charles had a Gas station and had no children. Charly I think second boy, married a lady named Rose. They divorced and later he married a lady named Edith. She had two girls, when she married him, already grown up. Uncle Charly run a gas station there in Anderson and Aunt Edith had a sloppy Joe and coffee shop at the station. He never had any children of his own. He was the only one of the kids with red hair. They are both dead. Maybe both in their 70's then. So no one there. I seen them. - per Flo Baxter Obituary from Anderson Daily Bulletin, Friday 10 Dec 1943, page 2 Sec 2 CHARLES B. SIMS IS FOUND DEAD AT HOME TODAY Charles B. Sims, age 75, died last evening at approximately 10 o'clock at his home, 2433 Pearl Street. The body was discovered this morning by a daughter, Mrs. Alta Little, and County Coroner Milton M. York attributed the death to a heart attack. Mr. Sims had suffered several previous attacks. He had resided in Anderson all of his life. He was a member of East Lynn Christian Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. George McDonald and Mrs. Alta Little; a son, Carl E. Trutt, of Bakersfield, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. S.W. Armstrong of Alexandria, Minn., and Mrs. Mollie Welchel, of Miami, Fla., and two brothers, Wilbur Sims, of Mooresville, and Floyd Sims, of Alexandria, Minn. The body was taken to Baker Brothers funeral home, where it will remain from 7 o'clock this evening until funeral services, which will be held there at 2 p.m. Monday. Rev. R. Powell Mead, of the East Lynn Christian Church, will be in charge. Burial will be in Memorial Park. References
